Location, Location, Location

Worked out in the field this week. Helped out a fellow disciple of the photographic arts on a shoot at NoLi Brewery here in town. A few days later I was on location at The Viking Bar and Grill shooting my short film Whiskey Sour. I love being on location! The problems and hurdles that arise while on a set drives me wild! My problem solving skills kick into high gear and I love the way it keeps my brain active. First shoot was a lot of fun because all I had to do was help and offer opinion. Filming of my movie ended up being a little more stressful. Being the final decision maker is tough. I was in charge of every little detail no matter who was helping or what input they gave the final choice was mine alone. This can make for a stressful situation! One of the biggest thing I learned about being on locations this week is to make sure and come prepared! I made a huge list of things to bring and not forget but in the end it never fails. I forgot a vital microphone cord and more importantly I forgot to bring a snack and eat! 7 hours of working on an empty stomach starts to take it's toll by 2am! Lesson learne
